Brazilian Baptists are taking advantage of the World Cup as an opportunity to share Christ. The Baptist Convention there has been planning a African Connections Project in which Brazilian volunteers will travel to Johannesburg, South Africa, to minister to Futbol fans during the games.
While there, they will pray and evangelize outside stadiums, run sports activities and games for kids, and even provide some medical care for the poorer communities of Johannesburg. Everyone participating has raised their own money.
Between games, as you're watching the World Cup this summer, take a moment to pray for the Brazilian missionaries in Africa.
Brazilians are pretty much amazing.
